Luisa María Arias
Luisa comes from Spain, where she graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Dance, Music and Acting in Madrid.
She completed her education at the Rey Juan Carlos University - Master with honors in Performing Arts and Doctoral studies in Humanities: Language and Culture.
She began her career as a professional dancer at the Euroballet Dance Company in Luxembourg. This was followed by Ballet National de Nancy et de Lorraine (France) Ballet du Rhin (France) National Dance company (Spain) and Netherland Dance Theater NDT (Holland).
She had the opportunity to dance in the ballets of many famous choreographers and personally work with them - Nacho Duato, Jiří Kylián, Mats Ek, Wiliam Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Cristal Pite and many others.
Since the end of her dancing career, she has been teaching dance, currently at the Instituto Superior de Danza Alicia Alonso at the URJC - Rey Juan Carlos University and in Nacho Duato Academy. Luisa is also involved in choreography and she is a Director of Nacho Duato Fundation. She spend also lots of time traveling and setting and teaching ballets of Nacho Duato in dance companies all around the world.
