Aki Nishio
Aki comes from Japan and received the basics of her dance education
at the Kishibe studio in Tokyo. After coming to Europe, she studied ballet
at the Royal ballet school in Antwerp and her first engagement was at
the Royal Ballet of Flanders, where she danced in ballets by George Balanchine, William Forsyth, Christian Spuck and others.
In her next engagement at the National Theater in Brno (Czech Republic), she performed many roles from the classical and modern repertoire
and also started teaching at the ballet school of I.V.Psota and got the opportunity to present her first choreography Tengu.
Since 2016, she has been back in Belgium, where she teaches dance and creates her performances (The Nutcracker, Most Wanted, Western ballet).
From 2023 she becomes to be professor at Conservatoire de Danse Bruxelles and founds her own dance company - Brussels City Ballet.
In addition, every summer she regularly helps teach students at the Kurihashi Keiko ballet studio and performs at the school's Gala Concerts.
