Adam Zvonař was born in Pilsen. In 2009, he graduated from the Dance Conservatory city of Prague. During his studies, he also participated in several ballet competitions, e.g. Brno 2006 (3rd prize in the Junior category), Prix Carpeux Valencien in France (2nd prize in the Pas de deux category and 3rd prize in the Professional category). In 2008, he received a prestigious internship in Washington D.C. at Suzanne Farrell's.

In 2010, together with his partner Radka Zvonařová he won the main prize at the international ballet competition Grand Prix Olomouc 2010. Together they won the Award for Outstanding Individual Performance at the II. International choreographic competition Pilsen 2010.

 

In 2009, he became a member of the Czech National Ballet in Prague, in 2012 he was appointed soloist. He played a number of roles here – Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake (Kenneth Greve), Policeman Bobbie/Nutcracker in the ballet The Nutcracker – A Christmas Story (Youri Vàmos), Prince Desiré in Sleeping Beauty, George in Goldilocks' production of Tony in the ballet The Sorcerer's Apprentice (Jan Kodet). He also performed in other major titles: Tchaikovsky – Pas de deux (George Balanchine), Empty Title (Peter Zuska), Themes and Variations (George Balanchine).

Between 2013 and 2016, he worked at the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich. Here he played the main roles of, for example, Mercutio and Paris in the ballet Romeo and Juliet (John Cranko), Gaston Rieux in the ballet The Lady with Camellias and Graf Alexander in the ballet Illusionen – wie Schwanensee (John Neumeier), the role of the Golden Idol in the ballet La Bayadère (Bart), Conrad and Ali in the ballet Corzár (Fox), Lensky in the ballet Onegin (John Cranko).
 

In the 2015/2016 season, he received the Opera Plus 2015 Annual Award. He was nominated twice for the Thalia Award in 2012 and 2016 for the role of Prince in Sleeping Beauty and Siegfried in Swan Lake.

 

In the 2017/2018 season, he returned to the National Theater Ballet, where he was appointed first soloist in 2018. He played a number of important leading roles here: Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake (John Cranko), Solor in La Bayadère (Javier Torres), Valmont in the production of the same name (Libor Vaculík), Policeman Bobbie/Nutcracker in the production of The Nutcracker - A Christmas Story (Vàmos), Colase in La Fille had a gardée (sir Frederick Ashton). He also drew attention to himself in contemporary productions: Kylián – Bridges of Time/Bella Figura and Petite Mort (Jiří Kylián), Timeless/Serenade (George Balanchine) and The Rite of Spring (Glen Tetley), Vertigo (Mauro Bigonzetti), Slavic Temperament/Aspects (Kozielska).
